Tara Subdivision

The first filing of the Tara Subdivision was in 1965. Tara High School opened in August of 1970. The subdivision has 620 homes and Tara Blvd extends from Old Hammond Highway to Goodwood Blvd. The drive down Tara Boulevard is very scenic, with many flowerbeds that have been planted over the years. The Tara Civic Association has remained strong for over 30 years and has a director, newsletter, Christmas lighting contest and also has patrols by off-duty police officers.
